Visit of H.S.H the Sovereign Prince in Nunavut


From September 21 through 23, 2012, H.S.H. Prince Albert II made a private visit to Canada within the frameworks of His Foundation. Mr. Bernard Fautrier, Vice-President of the Prince Albert II Foundation and Mr. Jean-Claude Bachand, President of the Canadian Branch of The Foundation accompanied the Prince. The Sovereign Prince first visited Nunavut, in the Greater North, where the "Pew Environmental Group", partner  of the PA2F, submitted their plans to set up marine protected areas and conservation of the boreal forest.  

He also met students from Nunavut Arctic College within the partnership of the University of the Arctic. He spoke with Ms. Eva Aariak, Prime Minister of Nunavut. The Prince then visited Quebec to meet with the leaders of "Students on Ice" and “Initiative boréale." He also attended a meeting on the progress of the partnership that the Government of Quebec initiated in 2009 with The Foundation for the establishment of a Biodiversity Atlas of Northern Quebec. On this occasion, He had a private meeting with the Prime Minister of Quebec, Pauline Marois.
