Appointment in the Consular Corps of Monaco in San Francisco (October, 2009)

After many years of dedication Mrs. Paula Escher decided to retire from Honorary Consul of Monaco in San Francisco. With regrets, the Embassy of Monaco understands her decision and wishes her a long and happy retirement.

Mr. Thomas E. Horn, the new Honorary Consul of Monaco in San Francisco, has been appointed by His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco in a Sovereign Ordinance dated October 29, 2009.

Mr. Horn has been an attorney at law since 1971 and a publisher since 2004. Since 1981, he has been involved in many political and cultural events. He has been President of the Board of Trustees of the San Francisco War Memorial and Performing Arts Center as well as the President of the San Francisco Performing Arts Center Foundation since 1985. Mr. Horn has also been actively involved in the Board of Trustees of the San Francisco Ballet Endowment Foundation. Among his numerous positions held, he has notably been a member of the Board of Trustees of the San Francisco Ballet Association since 1991 and a member of the Board of Directors Nob Hill Association since 1995, acting as President and CEO from 2001 to 2002.
