Ambassador Maguy Maccario Doyle Is Special Guest on Voice of America Broadcast.
In late August, Ambassador Maccario Doyle was interviewed by host and senior reporter, Faid Rehman, for the popular weekly television show, Café DC, produced by Voice of America's influential television arm.
The 30 minute interview, recorded at the Ambassador's residence, covered subjects like the Principality's sovereignty and history, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and environmental legacy, and its cultural exports, in particular the Monaco Boys Choir who recently completed their 10th tour to the United States. Other topics discussed included Monaco's relations with the United States, the Ambassador's background and achievements as well as the historical significance of the embassy residence in Washington.
Mr. Rehman, says the program gives newsmakers in Washington, D.C. “plenty of opportunity to talk about the burning issues of the day, but it also gives them a chance to sit back and discuss what inspires them, as well as the personal things that are important to them.” The show, which is produced in both English and Urdu, is also broadcast on Express TV, Pakistan’s 2nd largest cable network and offers audiences a snapshot of the personalities involved in shaping the policies of the U.S. government.
