Official Visit of H.S.H. in New York

From September 24 through 27, 2012, H.S.H. Prince Albert II travelled to the United States for a private visit. He first attended the "Climate Week" on September 24 and 25 in New York, and also attended the "Clinton Global Initiative" meeting. Finally, on September on 26 and 27, the Prince went to Monterey, California, and visited the aquarium guided by a young Monegasque researcher from Stanford University François Seneca.

The Sovereign attended the opening of the "Blue Ocean Film Festival" and participated in the Third Symposium on the Ocean in a world with a high concentration of CO2. During the Symposium, H.S.H. Prince announced the creation of a Coordination Centre of Monaco on Ocean Acidification. He declared: "With the support of the Government of Monaco and My Foundation, an International Center for Coordination on Ocean Acidification was founded in Monaco within the premises of the Marine Environment Laboratory of IAEA. This is not only a huge source of personal pride, but gives Me real hope for the future. "
